This iteration of Vista is very fresh fruit forward (a classic trait of washed coffees from Gigesa) - tangy citrus and juicy stone fruits dominate, with a huge dynamic range of lively, ripe acidity. Profiled for espresso, the sugars caramelize into a light cane sugar level of sweetness that grounds the cup just enough while still providing super high clarity into this expertly produced washed coffee.

The Gigesa washing station takes its name from the small town of Gigesa, surrounding which more than 500 small-scale coffee producers grow and deliver their coffee to the washing station. These small farms are all 2-5 hectares of farm land, usually operated by a single family, and located at over 1800 MASL. The washing station also holds NOP Organic and EU Organic certifications.

This is a classic washed process coffee, meaning it begins when fresh cherries are delivered to the washing station. Cherries are floated to sort them by density then they are immediately depulped with traditional disc pulpers and left to ferment in water for 36-48 hours. After fermentation the coffee is washed clean and then dried on raised beds for 10-12 days.
